"Don't worry, they'll love you", I said offering him a little encouragement.

"What?" The sound of the music had drowned out my words.

"I said they'll love you!"

He put his arm around me, and we watched 3 girls finish up their karaoke version of some song that was bad enough in it's original form. He squeezed a little tighter.

Oh shit. Does he think I said "I love you". It's obviously way too soon to say that. Well, he didn't say it back, so that's good. Or is it? What if he thinks I said it and he chose not to say it back? Now he thinks I'm way into him. Or...
