The Dentist

The receptionist greeted us and motioned for us to have a seat.

"This doesn't really look like a dentist office," I said.

"I've never been to a dentist with candy on the table," David remarked.

"Well, it is Taiwan."

"She's getting us some tea. This is so nice," I said.

A man in a suit approached the table to begin the consultation I assumed. He handed us his business card and sat down. Rhiy Reality Group.

"Umm, I don't think we are at the dentist. How do we get out of this," I asked David.

"Dentist? We want the dentist..." David said, pointing to his teeth.

The Realtor led us to the door to show us where the Hot Shot Dentistry office was located. Maybe he was disappointed that he missed a sale. Or maybe he was relieved that he wouldn't have to speak English. Either way, we felt much better when we got off the elevator and saw dental hygiene posters and tooth-shaped ottomans.
