Bill Clinton speaks at Harvard's 2007 Class Day
If you have a few minutes,(about 30)listen to this speech given by Bill Clinton just last week. Why is it that only after they leave office can our politicians become reasonable, compassionate, thoughtful people. You see it happen again and again. Maybe its because they no longer have to rely on the support of lobbyists and the funding of corporations. If any candidate could speak with such candor and sincerity now, I would really take the time to listen to that person. I am excited for change in the white house, but none of the candidates really stir me. They are all in their own way pandering to the people who they feel can get them the most votes.
Politics aside, listen to what he has to say, forgetting what it is you feel towards him and his presidency.

Well - I'm pretty stoked about making the blog!! Yes, Clinton has always been a compelling speaker. I couldn't decide which link to send because each builds on the next toward that big finish. How are we not inspired? But don't forget - while he speaks with the wisdom and authority of an elder Statesman, he also speaks with the wisdom and authority of a skillful politician and spouse of a candidate. I'm quite sure he's trying to court votes as well as inspire.

True, he still has a horse in the race (with all do respect to Hillary) I guess I just think of other former politicians that seem to speak with much more wisdom and reason once they have given up ambitions of public office. Bob Dole, the elder Bush, Jimmy Carter, and Al Gore to name a few.
