my life
My days of endless loafing and TV viewing will soon be over. I was offered a position at Travelers Aid today which I accepted without hesitation. I don't know how to explain the program besides stealing a sentence directly from the brochure. "Travelers' Aid Chicago provides services to stranded or at-risk travelers at O'Hare Airport". I will be working in the airport supervising volunteers and handling crisis situations with travelers. So pending any problems with references and background checks, I'll start in about a week.
Wow. Your new job sounds really cool. Hope you enjoy it. I'm SO ready to get out of here and get to my new job in Korea. Good grief. Good luck with all your stranded and distressed fliers!

Yay!
So what are you gonna do on for your last week of freedom?
Hmmm. Maybe shop for some new work clothes. I'm maybe coming home for the birth of my niece. I'll know for sure tomorrow.
Great news on the job Kevin. I'll be flying in to your airport in June. When i have the dates I'll let you know. Maybe we can go to dinner or something while i'm there. And maybe i'll see you in town this week. My mom said Cora is expected on Wednesday.

Great news on the job Kevin. I'm flying into O'Hare in June....would i be considered an "at risk" traveler? When i have dates i'll let you know, maybe we can go to dinner or something! And maybe i'll see you in town soon. My mom said Cora is expected on Wednesday.

That sounds like an interesting job- and important too. Here in Vancouver an Eastern European man who'd already had an extremely long day and was supposed to meet his mother but got disoriented and wandered around inside security for hours. Dumbass security people never helped him and in the end- I forget all the details, but- he ended up being tasered and he died.
